ECU configurator

Configure the open ECU kit around your machine.

Every kit starts with the open-source ECU base board and 1 GB local storage. For local control, connect the ECU RJ45 Ethernet port to a phone or tablet through a USB-C Ethernet adapter. Add 4G only when you need wireless/cloud control.

Always included

Open-source ECU base board

The transparent starting point for app-connected guidance, retrofit development, steer-ready integration, and future autonomy modules.

  • Open-source ECU base board
  • RJ45 Ethernet port for local app connection
  • USB-C Ethernet adapter path for phone or tablet
  • CAN and UDP communication path
  • Android, iPhone, and iPad app compatibility
  • 1 GB local onboard storage
  • 12-24 V power input and bench diagnostics

01 · Machine path

Choose how the ECU connects to the tractor

Start from the open board, then pick either a retrofit motor path, a steer-ready CAN path, or a heavier hydraulic/section-control interface.

ECU steering path

This is the communication path between the open ECU board and the machine. Retrofit machines usually need the motor package below; steer-ready tractors normally do not.

Retrofit motor hardware

Add a steering motor only when the tractor is not already steer-ready. Motor fitment, bracketry, and calibration depend on the cab and steering wheel geometry.

Enclosure and harness

Choose the physical hardware level. Field-ready enclosures and labeled machine harnesses cost more than a bench plate because they are what make the kit serviceable.

02 · Positioning

Choose GPS, corrections, and wireless control

GPS hardware is not included in the base ECU. Add an optional GPS/GNSS module only when this quote should include receiver hardware. Add 4G when you need wireless/cloud control.

Wireless and local links

Local app connection uses the ECU RJ45 Ethernet port through a USB-C Ethernet adapter on the phone or tablet. Add 4G for wireless/cloud control, remote diagnostics, and RTK/NTRIP delivery away from the yard.

GPS / GNSS receiver

The base ECU does not include a GPS receiver. Accuracy shown is approximate and depends on antenna, sky view, correction source, calibration, and machine setup.

Correction source

Choose how centimetre-class positioning is delivered. Correction subscriptions and third-party service fees are quoted separately.

IMU and terrain data

The base board exposes simple motion data. Upgrade when slope behavior, terrain compensation, vibration, or validation-quality logs matter.

03 · AI and sensors

Scale from simple logs to future TPU modules

Keep the kit lean, add Raspberry Pi with a USB Edge TPU as the minimum AI module, or step up to NVIDIA Jetson platforms for camera, LiDAR, and autonomy pilots.

TPU / edge compute

Future modules can start with Raspberry Pi plus a USB Edge TPU. Larger NVIDIA modules add more RAM and GPU headroom for perception and autonomy work.

Cameras

Add cab video, global-shutter cameras, depth cameras, and thermal sensing as separate modules.

LiDAR

LiDAR is optional. Keep cost low with no scanner, add compact 3D range sensing, or quote a high-end rugged unit.

Storage and logging

Every base board includes 1 GB of local onboard storage. Field pilots need larger industrial storage for traces, video, and ML datasets.

04 · Support

Choose the service layer

Open development stays included. Paid service layers add cloud diagnostics, dealer workflow, or OEM pilot support.

Software and support

Open development is included. Add service layers only when remote diagnostics, dealer workflow, or OEM pilot support matter.

Configurator FAQ

Clear answers before the quote.

Does the base ECU include GPS?

No. The base Open ECU board starts at EUR 1,490 and includes the controller board, RJ45 local app connection path, CAN and UDP communication path, 1 GB local storage, power input, and bench diagnostics. GPS/GNSS receiver hardware is optional and shown as a separate module.

How does the ECU connect to the mobile app?

Local app control uses the ECU RJ45 Ethernet port through a USB-C Ethernet adapter on a phone or tablet. Wireless/cloud control requires adding the Field Link 4G/LTE module.

Is the configurator price final?

No. The configurator gives an indicative hardware estimate excluding VAT and is not an offer, checkout, or purchase contract. Final price, scope, compatibility, lead time, taxes, shipping, installation, and subscriptions are confirmed in a written quote.

Which tractor paths can be configured?

The configurator supports diagnostics-only evaluation, retrofit steering motor planning, steer-ready CAN profiles, hydraulic valve and section I/O planning, and advanced AI or sensor pilot builds.

Are RTK, NTRIP, or L-band subscriptions included?

No. The configurator can add receiver hardware and correction-readiness paths, but third-party correction services, SIM plans, L-band subscriptions, and local base-station costs are quoted separately after review.

Can the kit be used without a trained operator?

No. Agro Navigator hardware is for supervised field guidance and pilot workflows. A trained operator must stay in control and able to stop or override the machine. It is not a standalone emergency-stop, braking, or fully autonomous road-use system.
